Sherrie Dee (Edwards) Dusch

January 23, 1945 - April 23, 2021

Sherrie Dee (Edwards) Dusch, age 76, passed away on April 23, 2021, after a long fight with cancer, with her husband, Jim, by her side.

She was born January 23, 1945, in Paonia, Colorado, to William A. Veins and Hazel M. Veins. Sherrie graduated from Paonia High School in 1962, and later graduated from Cerritos College in Norwalk, CA.

Sherrie's life passion was her accounting business and teaching accounting in Colorado, and the University of Nebraska; she enjoyed the students that she taught over the years.

She was retired from teaching.

Sherrie was a member of the American Women's Business Association, also Eastern Star, she served as Worthy Grand Matron of Colorado. She enjoyed golfing, and playing the organ, but her favorite was watching the tv program, MASH, and we believe she had all them recorded.

Sherrie was preceded in death by her dad, William A. Veins; mother, Hazel (Viens) Edwards; step-dad, Albert A. Edwards; both sets of grandparents, and her aunt, Dana Richards.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Dusch; brother, Arthur D. (Margaret) Edwards, of Colorado; sister, Friz (Norm) Slyvia, of California; nieces, Anna Moore and Bailey Dodson, of Grand Junction; nephew, Will Edwards, of Colorado Springs, CO; uncle, Roger Richards, from Utah; cousin, Kathy Meader, of Paonia, CO, and other nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest in Kearny, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in Sherrie's honor, to Nebraska Masonic Home, 1300 Avenue D, Plattsmouth, NE 68048.

Have known Sherrie most of my life. Grew up in the same small town of Paonia. She was in my sister's class. She was a terrific person. Our prayers for her family. She will be missed.

Jim and family, So sorry for your loss, Sherrie was such a nice lady. She was always willing to share a smile and a conversation with me. I will miss seeing her!
