ROCKPORT — Henry R. Strzemilowski Sr., 77, husband of Frances (Rosa) Strzemilowski, of North Palm Beach, Fla. and Rockport, died on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He was born in Lynn on July 18, 1932, son of the late Wladyslaw and Antonia (Gruntmeier) Strzemilowski. Henry was a graduate of Lynn English High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
His career spanned over 42 years at General Electric Company in Lynn having worked in the drafting, manufacturing engineering and production control departments.
Henry enjoyed walking, bowling and gardening. He especially loved going fishing with his son and grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Rosa) Strzemilowski of North Palm Beach, Fla. and Rockport; his son, Henry R. Strzemilowski Jr. and his wife Lori of Rockport; his grandson, Alexander Strzemilowski of Rockport; and his special aunt, Jean Krzemien of Babylon, N.Y.
ARRANGEMENTS: His graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 1, at 10 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Burgess and Mackey Funeral Home, 201 Main St., Rockport, are on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Massachusetts General Hospital, c/o Dr. Donald Kaufman, Research Development and Educational Fund, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114 or Massachusetts General Hospital at Ellison 19 Nursing, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
