Jack Enloe Obituary

Jack H. Enloe, 79, of Edwardsville, Ill., died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville surrounded by his loving family. Jack was founder and President of Utility Safety & Design Inc. Jack retired in 2000. He also was a partner in Utility Gas Management in Edwardsville, retiring in 2005.
He was born July 25, 1932 in Edwardsville, the son of the late Louis C. and Maude (Walker) Enloe. He married Loretta "Babs" Nuernberg on May 21, 1954 at St. John's United Methodist Church in Edwardsville.
He was an Elder Emeritus and served as board chairman at the church. He was a past alderman for the City of Edwardsville and a member of Edwardsville School Board.
He was a member of Edwardsville Masonic Lodge 99 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Body Ainad Temple in Belleville and a member of the Illinois and National Society of Professional Engineers. He was veteran of U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jack was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Besides his wife, he is survived two sons, Jack H. (Yonsook) of Clifton Park, N.Y. and C. Lindsay (Michelle) Enloe of Edwardsville; three daughters, Elizabeth A. Enloe of Edwardsville, Tracy T. (Richard) Wetzel of Edwardsville and Loretta Ellen (Jeff) Scheibal of Mandeville, La.; 13 grandchildren, Jack and Sally Enloe, Matthew, Tyler (Zhanell), Aaron Enloe, Nathan and Dane (Brittany) Shaw, Amanda (Nathan) Gibson, Eliza (Caleb) Pautz, J.C. Wetzel, Zachary, Jacob and Samuel Scheibal; and one sister, Shirley (Al) Wiegand.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Ronald Enloe.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25 at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Edwardsville. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. Saturday until services at 11 a.m Saturday, Nov. 26 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
