Jill Zeise Obituary
Green Bay - Jill E. Zeise, age 42 of Milwaukee formerly of Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at home with family by her side. She was born on April 12, 1979 in Green Bay.
Jill attended and graduated from Preble High School and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from UW-Milwaukee in criminal justice. She later went on to receive her Masters Degree. Jill proudly worked for 17 years as a Police Officer for Brown Deer Police Department. She taught several classes and played many rolls during her time of duty.
Jill growing up was always into sports, fitness and hiking. In high school, she played basketball and softball. She was always taking walks, whether it was by herself or one of her furry companions, Luna and later on Roo. Jill loved sports, mostly college basketball, but was also an all around Wisconsin sports fan.
Left to cherish Jill's memory are her mother, Ellen Haworth; brother, Alex (ReVena) Zeise; niece and nephews, Christian, Ryan, Gavin and Zoey Zeise. She is also survived by her father, David (Connie) Zeise; and brother, Nathaniel Zeise. Jill is further survived by her grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Haworth; aunts and uncles, Bob (Linda) Haworth, Joe (Kim) Haworth, Scott Haworth, Brian "UB" (Kelly) Haworth and Steve Haworth; Daniel (Theresa)) Zeise, Al (Cyndi) Zeise and Matt Zeise; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Jill is also survived by step siblings, Nicole (Don) Schultz, Jodi (Jason) Rose, Sarah Bergsbaken and Jake Garcia, Kyle (Whitney) Bergsbaken and Sam Bergsbaken. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert (Carol) Zeise; and uncle, Tom Zeise.
A police honors service of Jill will be held at 11:30 AM on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Riverside Ballroom (1560 Main St Green Bay, WI 54302). Family and friends may gather and visit at the ballroom from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all the health care providers through Jill's courageous battle with breast cancer. They gave so much love and care to her that will never be forgotten.

JIll and I met at Mount Mary University, where she became an adjunct in the Justice Program I directed. She was an amazing teacher and mentor to so many students for years. She loved teaching, law enforcement, and she just brought so much energy and insight to the program. Jill was especially aware of the challenges for some students having a tougher path. She spent hours of extra time as a mentor and support person. She was there for me too, as a friend and colleague. We shared many two hour lunches and never seemed to have enough time. I can't believe she's gone so soon. Her light will be remembered in my heart forever and I'm so grateful to have known her. RIP, Jill- you made a difference.

Jill fought her battle with cancer with a lot of bravery. She showed us all what grace and courage look like. Will miss her laugh. Prayers to the family!

I could tell Jill was going to be a great police officer and a faithful friend the minute I shook her hand at her graduation ceremony from the police academy. It was an honor to know and work with her. May Jill rest now in peace free from the suffering she endured. My condolences to her Mother and family. Blessed are those who have died in the Lord;
let them rest from their labors, for their good deeds go with
them.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I have fond memories of Jill from high school and summer work for Wisconsin grassroots alliance. It's great to see how she served her community these past years.
