Wanda Jean Schmitt, age 69, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, with her family at her side. She was born May 11, 1956, daughter of the late Lyle and Christine (Surprise) Dey.
Wanda married James "Smitty" Schmitt, November 2, 1996 and they shared 30 years of love and adventure. The couple shared a love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing together at their place in Eagle River, WI. She loved to travel, especially to Jamaica, with Jim and her good friends, Fred and Kathy.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Jim, her son, Eddie Dey and many grandchildren. She is further survived by her brothers.
Per Wanda's wishes, no formal services will be held.
Wanda's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff on the 8th floor at Bellin Hospital for their loving and caring compassion.
