Virginia Summers Obituary
August 5, 1926 - December 13, 2022
Virginia was born in Browns Summit, NC to Alfred James Summers and Ethel Bobbit Rankin. She was the youngest of seven siblings, all who have predeceased her. When she was a child, the family moved to North Church Street, Greensboro. There she resided until at 92 years old she moved to Friends Home, Guilford College, NC.
Virginia was employed by Jefferson-Pilot in the accounting department for her entire working career. Virginia was a longtime member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church and cherished being part of the fellowship there.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews - Michael Summers (Brenda), Rachel Hudson (Willie), Ronald Summers (Sarah), Charles Davidson (Bonita), Jeanne Carter (Keith), W.O. Bud Summers (Cheryl), and Barbara Cross (Leroy) and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, December 17 at 3 p.m. at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel, with a service to celebrate her life to follow at 3:30 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Place for the outstanding care they gave to Virginia.

Barbara and family , I am so sorry to hear of Virginia´s passing , she was an exceptional lady . Always enjoyed visiting with her at the Christmas parties.
