I'm so sorry for your loss of Webb. I saw Webb's raccoon prints at an art show in Virginia and loved them. I wound up being sorry I didn't get one there and ordered one by mail. I have it in a beautiful frame and have had it in a place of prominence in my home for over 40 years.

Dear Cheryl,
We have just learned of Webb's passing. So saddened and shocked. We have had an association of more than 30 years- and it has been the source of laughter, joy and great stories! Such a gentle and lovely man, and we admired his genius.
We will always remember Webb and include him in our prayers.

Dear Garrison family members,
I am so heartbroken for you on such a sudden and premature loss of Webb. I know it was too soon for all of us to lose him. He was an amazing person who lived life on his own terms and did not hesitate to think for himself. I loved his artwork and am still in awe of the fact that he may be the only artist I ever knew who made art a workable living. I admired his wide range of knowledge, including being a do-it-yourself-er. I sought him out once for advice about finding a good used car in western NC and he graciously shared what he knew. He and all of the Garrisons I've met always welcomed me (sister of Mary Rogers Garrison) at your family gatherings that I've attended. I am sending my thoughts and prayers to all of you and dearly hope that you are finding comfort and support around you and within.

Though I am a little resistant to the idea of signing a guestbook for my own father’s obituary, also I couldn’t stand to see it sitting there empty.
Dad helped us live unconventionally as a family. He took all the prerequired courses for medical school, and then I came along and foiled his plans – so any aversion he might have had to doctors is probably because he felt like he should be one! He began the art show / craft show circuit in the early 1970’s, and our lives were constantly enriched with stories from the road.
Two things that he cultivated in me were a love of nature and an interest in science.
One of the things I will miss the most is hearing his voice.
Our lives are all better for having Dad as long as we did.
