Leonard Gerald "Jerry" Blair, 70, died on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at his home.
Born on April 22, 1945 in Jacksonville, FL, he was a son of the late Leonard and Louise Banks Blair.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Jennine Hancock Blair; one daughter, Brenda Blair Davenport of Greenville, SC; one son, Jeffrey Scott (Robin) Blair of Manitowoc, WI; one brother, Tommy (Sherry) Blair of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Taylor Blair Davenport, Ashleigh Rose Blair, Ethan Ashby Blair, and Olivia Louise Blair. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Bill Hancock (Wilane) of Oviedo, FL; several nephews; special cousins, Margie Reinitz and Harry Reinitz, Jr. of NC, and special friends, Jerry Courson, Judy Anderson, Tommy and Carolyn Finch, and Thomas and Nicole Finch.
A graduate of Troy State in AL, he was a Compliance Officer with the U.S. Labor Department, Wage Hour Division in Greenville, retiring in 1997.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at Aldersgate UMC on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Phenix City, AL of Friday, October 16, 2015.
Memorials may be made to Aldersgate UMC, 7 Shannon Dr., Greenville, SC 29615; or Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680.
