News Death Notice

EMMERT, Mary Ann Age 75 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday March 24, 2016 at Ft Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton on March 5, 1941, the daughter of the late John and Nannie (Landrum) Emmert. A graduate of Hamilton HS, she earned her nursing degree at Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. Mary Ann was a pediatric nurse previously employed with Jewish Hospital, General Hospital, Mercy Hospital of Hamilton and pediatric home health care before retiring. Mary Ann was an active leader of the Girl Scouts for many years and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mary Ann is survived by her brother Lee Emmert, niece LeAnne (Steven) Baroni and nephew Michael (Janie) Emmert. Funeral ceremony will be held at 11am on Friday April 1, 2016 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. L.D. (Doug) Ervin officiating. Private graveside services will follow. Visitation will be held prior to services from 10am to 11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Ann's name to the Girl Scouts of America Fund Development PO Box 5046 New York, NY 10087. Mary Ann was one of my Girl Scout leaders. I was looking for her today on the Internet and discovered she had just passed away. She was a good woman that I will always remember fondly. Rest in peace.
