Georgie was more like an Aunt than a cousin to me. When I was younger and she would come visit and stay with my Aunt Donna. I was always so excited to spend time with her. She would always stop and buy turkey legs on her way and make them for dinner. I always think about her when I see turkey legs. I thought her Buick Riviera was the coolest car when I was little so she always took me for a ride while in visiting. She had a heart of gold and a beautiful smile. She will never be forgotten. ❤

I think of Georgia many times during the week. Her sweet voice and gentle personality. Her love of Corvettes. Many years of worshipping at the Loganville Church of Christ.

My sweet Aunt Georgia. You were there for me thru every big life event. You were my grandma's best friend. You were the only one I wanted to see and hug when I got the news about my Grandma. You always gave the best hugs ever. You always said I love you, and I knew you meant it. You were too sweet, loving, and caring for this world to hold you here any longer. Your family in heaven called and you answered. We werent ready to say goodbye just yet. But God had his plans. I will never forget your smile. I remeber when i was little and we were at my Grandmas house, i thought i knew how to spell your name and you just laughed at me and said "honey, i wish i spelt it that way." And back when i loved Hilary Duff you told me i looked just like her. That gave me a HUGE confidence boost. You taught me how to love, and how to be loved. Words cannot express how much you meant to me and how much i miss you. This world will never be the same without you. Hold my Grandma tight for me. I love you Aunt Georgia. I'll see you again someday.

There are not enough words to express how my heart is broke! I have so many memories of you Aunt Georgie! Too many to count. You were one of the sweetest ladies I know! Your heart was kind and always full of advice! Thank you for everything you did for me growing up and even most recently! Letting me write my paper about your life meant so much to me! As we all cry and miss you here on this earthly life, I know I will see you again one day! I know grandma, aunt jean, your parents, & all your other brothers and family were waiting for you at the pearly gates! You walked along the streets of gold beside the crystal sea! I love you Auntie! You forever hold a special place in my heart and in all of our hearts! I still have the quilt you made me as a baby and Evelyn still has hers!

No words can describe how much I will miss my Aunt Georgie!! She was my other mother for so many years. Our families lived in the same town for years, and there is a lot of good memories of family dinners and family fun!! Lots of shopping trips to the mall, and she loved to shop at Gordman's.. Lots of lunches and every Friday night dinners while living in Tulare.. Georgie was so easy to talk to, and she was my Mom's best friend!! The only thing that somewhat makes this okay, is now Aunt Jean, my Mom and Aunt Georgie are together again.. the beautiful Brown sisters are now angels. I love you Aunt Georgie so much, thank you for every memory I have of you!!

My sweet Georgie you were always so special to me from the time I was 4 years old and Jamie and I would play at Lilly's until the last time we talked...you were so thoughtful and kind as I watched mom slipping away and praying for Megan during all her hard times. My heart broke a little when you gave your diagnosis and continued to break as you lost strength. But I know you are in such a wonderful place and you and mom have no more pain or suffering to endure. You have earned your wings sweet lady and you are so deserving. Love you until we are all together again

Dear friend I always wanted to meet your amazing family, but not the way it happened. I know! It's not important now. You are now resting and pain free. In the arms of the angels. Can't imagine our class gathering without your beautiful smile there.? RIP Sweet Georgia Brown Fortner.
