Bruce Barlow Obituary

BARLOW, Bruce, Sr. Bruce Barlow Sr., of Villa Rica GA, left us suddenly on Saturday, (April 10, 2004) at the young age of 51. He was the victim of an unexplainable brain aneurysm. Bruce was born and raised in Hartford's north end and moved to Atlanta, GA. in 1994. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife Norma Faye Cole Barlow; and his two sons, Raki Barlow of Brooklyn, NY and Bruce Barlow Jr. of Riverdale, GA. Bruce was a Marketing and Sales Executive with IBM for 20 plus years and over the last five years, was a real estate developer, building condominiums and houses in the city of Atlanta. He and his wife recently fulfilled a lifetime dream when they became proprietors of the 25 acre Twin Oaks on Melacari, a Bed & Breakfast Inn in Villa Rica, GA. Bruce also leaves behind his parents, Arthur and Carrie Barlow of Villa Rica, GA; brothers, Maurice Barlow of Hartford, Charles Barlow of Acworth, GA, Matthew Barlow of Oklahoma City, OK, Arthur R. Barlow of Hartford, Walter Wimbush of South Windsor, fondly referred to as a "brother from another mother" and a sister, Muriel Morgan of High Point, NC. He also leaves behind dozens of nieces nephews and cousins. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 15, between 12-1 p.m. with services to follow at Midway Macedonia Baptist Church, 3915 Carrollton-Villa Rica Highway, Villa Rica, GA 30180
