It has been a year since Clyde's passing but when ever I am speaking to another retired cop, Clyde's and will come up, always in a humorous story. Great guy. He is sorely missed.

I worked with Clyde several times when I was a a rookie in 1970. He was experienced, knew how to handle situations and taught me a few things. I didn't know he was a marine. I was also a marine and we never shared that between us. I wished we had. May he rest in peace. Ron Parkyn HPD retired

I was saddened to hear that your father had passed. As you are aware, my parents (Alfred & Louise Cicero), were friends of your parents and our father's are pioneers, who served as Policemen on the Hartford Police Department. Your father has always been in my life. It was not that long ago, that I saw your father and he said to me, I miss your parents. May it comfort you to know that they are all together in Heaven now, doing the Lord's work. R.I.P. Mr. Rogers, I will miss you. My condolences.

Clyde worked with me in the HPD Booking Room for a number of years and during that time we developed a great friendship. As part of the "crew" we had a lot of laughs and he was a pleasure to work with. He was especially proud of his children. He was a sharp and funny guy. I was sad to see he had passed on. My deepest sympathy to his family.
God Bless.
