Frank hired me in 1970. He was an exceptional teacher; effective, statesman-like administrator; staunch supporter of the faculty and liberal education; and a highly-valued mentor. I admired him greatly. The University of Hartford owes Frank a large debt for his role as one of a small core who led our rise in the 1960's and 70's to become a recognized and respected regional university.
