Joyce Kunze Mastrangelo

Joyce Kunze Mastrangelo, 70, of Simsbury, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Noble Horizons in Salisbury. She was born August 27, 1948 in Jacksonville, FL, daughter of Estelle Veronica (Globis) Kunze of Simsbury and the late Richard Tower Kunze and grew up in Clinton, CT. She had lived in South Windsor prior to moving to Simsbury 20 years ago. She was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, class of 1972. Ms. Mastrangelo was a Senior Account Executive for the Hartford Courant for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Simsbury. Joyce enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed music, having been a fan of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Monkees and loved to watch movies, especially ones with superheroes and Star Trek.In addition to her mother, Joyce is survived by her daughter, Jessica Doering and her husband Tyler and her grandchildren, Tristan and Aiden Doering, all of Norwich. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Bentley, and several dear friends that were like family to her.Her family will receive friends at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Wednesday, May 22nd from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church in Simsbury.
