She spent 20 years in state government enjoying every minute of it. She lived in Hartford for almost 40 years. She loved The Hartford Club, The Hartford Stage, The Wadsworth Atheneum and all Hartford had to offer. Ruth was a loving and caring mother, grandmother sister, aunt and friend. Dear Alison, My condolences upon the loss of your mother. I fondly recall happy times with both of you on the campaign trail and in the governor's office, where Ruth kept an expert and discerning eye on the front gate and the characters who used to come through.

Dear Adam, I was so sorry to read about the loss of your mother. You talked about her often when we worked together at the state attorneys office. Perhaps you don't even remember working there it was so long ago. My prayers for you and your family will be offered today and may she rest in peace. Take care and God bless.
