Philip Judd Obituary

Philip C. Judd, 86, OF Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, (May 7, 2003) at Hospice House of Vero Beach, after a brief illness. Born July 7, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN, he was the son of Harold L. and Florence Gates Judd of Berlin and New Britain. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for over 30 years coming from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Mr. Judd attended Pomfret and Kingswood Schools and had lived in New Britain until 1965. Prior to his retirement he had been employed by New Britain Buick and more recently a Real Estate Investor in Ft. Lauderdale for many years. Mr. Judd was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach, FL. Survivors include his wife Gladys E. Judd of Vero Beach, FL; his children Philip C. Judd, Jr. of Dataw Island SC; Barbara Judd Frisk of New Britain and Sarasota, FL, Virginia Judd Stapelfeld of Wilmington, NC, Elizabeth Judd Zeller of Clayton, GA and Pamela Clifford of Center Harbor, NH; and a stepdaughter Sandra Keysers of Fort Lauderdale, FL; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Cryptside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Fort Pierce, FL with the Reverend Tom Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to VNA Hospice of Vero Beach, 1111 36th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. A memorial service will be held at a later date at First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL.
