Gerald "Jerry" Dunn Jr.

DUNN, Gerald "Jerry"Jr. Gerald "Jerry" K. Dunn Jr., age 66, of Grove St. in Clinton passed away Saturday (April 19, 2008), beloved husband of Sally (Woodward) Dunn. He was born in Harford, CT on April 25, 1941 to the late Gerald K. and Bernice Dunn Sr. Jerry retired from the New Haven Register as a pressman, where he worked for over 25 years. He was a sports enthusiast, always rooting for the Yankees and the Giants. He was also a NASCAR fan, and loved his Corvettes and boating. He enjoyed his time in Florida at their winter home, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed. Besides his wife of 38 years, he is survived by three daughters Carolyn Dunn and her fiance Jeremy Williams of Clinton, Heather Dunn of Groton, Andrea Dunn of Clinton, one son Gerald Janke of Maryland and one sister Nancy Lonergan of Old Saybrook. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cameron, Christian, Kiara, Arianna, Rory, Reagan and Liam as well as several nieces, nephews and many good friends. He is predeceased by a daughter Nancy Dunn. Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Tuesday evening, April 22nd from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrow in Essex.
