December 4, 2010

To Roy, Alman, Dayna, Melissa, Mathew:
Not knowing of your wife's/mom's illness, Hunter and I were shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. It seems only yesterday we were sitting with her at court-side watching you, her kids, playing wonderful and enviable tennis -- from the Coupe de Quebec, to Zonals and Sectionals. Her easy and constant smile was so telling of her warm and friendly manner. I have never met another tennis parent who could sit and watch her kids play matches with such an even, pleasant temperament. We will miss her greatly. I hope her life inspires all of you Lord children to achieve the highest level of tennis you seek. You are terrific tennis players and athletes. As long as you are on the courts, memories of your wonderful mom will endure for those of us who were fortunate enough to have known her during our years of New England junior tennis.
