George Ansbro, 96, died on November 5, 2011. He was a resident of the Duncaster Retirement Community in Bloomfield, CT. Beloved husband of 65 years of Jo-Anne; father of Andrew, John, Marianne (Mimi), Karen Ansbro Leone, and Katie; grandfather of Georgia and Patrick Maloney, Max and Mellora Ansbro and Grace and George Leone. George was a radio/TV announcer for NBC and ABC in New York City from 1934 until 1990.
Friends may call at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 FarmingtonAve., West Hartford, CT, on Wednesday, November 9 from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, 7 Maple Street, Tariffville, CT. Graveside service and interment at the family's convenience at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
