I unfortunately just learned of Matt's passing today. He was my neighbor on Hazard Ave when we were in high school. He was funny and sweet and entertained me at the bus stop every day. He also protected me from an older bully on the bus and I will be forever grateful. My sincere (late) condolences to his family.

It was my honor and privilege to serve alongside Matt when I journeyed from Texas to serve the Connecticut community. In the short time I spent with him, Matt showed himself to be a strong, safe man full of power, passion, love blessing and authenticity. I pray God's blessings of love, strength and comfort for all friends, family and the Connecticut Crucible community.

Donna & Luke, we are brokenhearted for both of you. We have known Matt through a lot of his adult life through our dealings with him for dozens of comedy shows. We had never seen him so blissfully happy since the two of you came into his life. He loved the both of you so very much and had such a zest for life that we still can't believe he is gone. At any given moment we expect to see him post something on Facebook about something he has done with his family, about sports, or Star Wars. We can't imagine the void he has left in your lives. May your memories of time spent together help to comfort both of you in his loss.
