Jean-Rene Guay Obituary

Jean-Rene Guay, 63, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Jeanne (Dubois) Guay, died Tuesday, (July 3, 2001) at Hartford Hospital. Born May 3, 1938 in St. Zacharie, Canada, son of Simone (Breton) Guay of St. Zacharie and the late Gerard Guay, he had lived in East Hartford since 1978. He was employed by Nelson Drywall, Glastonbury. Mr. Guay was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6119, Hartford and the A.C.A. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Yvan R. and Amy Guay of Hebron, Steven R. Guay and Sarah W. Stage of East Hampton; two grandchildren, Sarah and Allison Guay; and 14 brothers and sisters in Canada. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, TODAY, July 6, 6-9 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be held in St. Zacharie, Canada. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., Northern Connecticut Chapter, 790 Maple Ave., Hartford, CT 06114-2317.
