Purvis - Carmen Sandifer, 66, of Purvis died Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Merit Health Wesley. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis. Services will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis followed by burial in Coaltown Cemetery.

Carmen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and second mom to many. She loved deeply and never met a stranger. If you knew her, you had a friend. Family was everything to her and there was no such thing as "ex" or "step" in her vocabulary. Her grandchildren were her heart and she had a special bond with each one of them. She loved life to the fullest and was always up for a road trip. She had a heart of gold and would always put the needs of others before her own. She was sincere in her giving and her life was a testament of her love for Christ. Carmen had many friends and loved them all with her enourmous heart. She will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

Mrs. Sandifer was preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Barrett and her parents, William and Willow Taylor.

She is survived by four children, Mollie (Kendrix) Gildersleeve, Rebecca (Donnie Holder) Crosby, Amy (Steven) Barrett and Greg Sandifer; five grandchildren, Avery Gildersleeve, Carter Gildersleeve, Ethan Barrett, Eli Barrett and Scarlett Sandifer; one sister, Desma Nelson and one Brother, Bill Taylor.
