Virgil Heggen Obituary
Des Moines
Virgil Duane Heggen, 87, formerly of Des Moines and Alleman, died peacefully on September 2 at Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny. Virgil was born to Nora and Henry Heggen of Alleman, May 3, 1927. He is survived by son Rick Heggen of Des Moines, daughter Linda (Brian) Law of Alleman, and son Mark Heggen (Sarah Oltrogge) of Des Moines; grandchildren Jeff Heggen, Matt Heggen, Jamie Sylvester, Kate Foddrill, Madison Heggen, Erica Heggen, various locations; great-grandchildren Thomas Heggen of Ames, Hayley, Macie, and Todd Sylvester, of Norwalk; He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth A. Heggen, and grandson Timothy Yates Heggen.

I am sorry for your loss! My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time! Virgil was a wonderful person and I loved having the opportunity to get to care for him and get to know him! We sure shared a good many conversations and alot of laughs! He will be greatly missed! RIP Boss! I love you!
