Clifford Charles Crandall, a resident of Klamath Falls, died Feb. 2, 2015, at the age of 78. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Running Y Convention Center. Clifford was born June 7, 1936, in El Monte, Calif., to Clifford W. and Catherine (Toso) Crandall. He owned the driving range and two pro shops, which employed 44 people, including the young Phil Mickelson. Clifford retired from the PGA in in 1994. Having lived his whole life in balmy Southern California, he and his wife decided they wanted to experience living in an area of four seasons so moved to Klamath Falls in 2004. In addition to golf, Clifford enjoyed going on bass fishing trips all over the country and was the most wonderful husband. Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Katherine Crandall of Klamath Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Benjamin Shoudy of Klamath Falls; son and daughter-in-law, K.C. and Jacqueline Crandall of Santee, Calif.; grandchildren, Michael Shoudy, Rachel Shoudy, Kyle Crandall and wife, Amy, Kyra Hermansen and husband, Jesse, and Taylor Rose Crandall; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Cole, and Macie Crandall and Olivia and Jeremiah Hermansen.

Sorry to recently learn of Cliff's death. We were high school friends and played baseball and golf together. He became a golf pro after high school while I spent four years in the Air Force. When I came back from Germany we renewed our friendship. He was always a good friend and we had many good times together.
