Reggie Gene Campbell

CAMPBELL, Reggie Gene, age 59 of Belvidere, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Lakeside Manor. He was born in Marietta, Georgia on Dec. 14, 1958. Reggie attended Huntland School where he was a Hornet in football, basketball, and baseball. He graduated from Huntland High School in 1977, before attending The University of the South and Middle Tennessee State University pursuing a degree in education. After graduation, Reggie taught at other places such as Franklin County and Cornersville before returning to teach at Huntland High School in the fall of 1988. During his tenure at Huntland High School, he coached football, softball, and middle school baseball and basketball. Reggie was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ashby Campbell. Reggie is survived by his father, Grover Campbell of Belvidere; brothers, Ronnie (Ann) Campbell of Belvidere and Kevin (Becky) Campbell of Winchester; nieces, Courtney Campbell of Belvidere, Haley and Hannah Campbell, both of Winchester; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Plunkett officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntland School Library.
