Gregory Hitchcock Obituary

Hitchcock, Gregory T. Age 71 of Minneapolis , Minnesota and formerly of Sherman, peacefully passed away on November 28, 2018. Preceded by parents Carleton and Emogene (Jean) Hitchcock, brother Timothy, and nephew Todd. Survived by son Carleton of St Louis Park and grandchildren Russel and Lana, son Jonathan of Sherman, daughter-in-law Lisa, grandchildren Elijah and Angus, and Aunt Lucy Gemlo.
Greg was former Chairman and CEO of Hitchcock Industries, former owner of Todd Chevrolet in Lakeville,MN, National Board Member of Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and a long-time member of many charitable organizations.
A prominent figure in Twin Cities business circles, Greg was well known for his philanthropic efforts and sponsorship of local events, especially those promoting community betterment.
His generosity and genuine concern for others defined his character, and he leaves behind many lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
Memorial service will be Monday, December 17th 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a kind and caring man who would bring me a vanilla latte at times, come in to have me adjust his eyeglasses, tell me about his grandchildren, and give me a hug when he left. Rest peaceful Mr. Hitchcock.
