Although I did not get the opportunity to meet Ms. Tyson I heard so many wonderful stories from her beautiful daughters Bobbi & Joyce. She was an amazing queen so full of life and who brought life to those around her. She was a cherished masterpiece and will will be greatly missed. May she transition into another beautiful life and be the life of the party.

My dear special friend, Mary Ann Tyson (and her daughters) came into my life a couple of years ago. Mary Ann and I were both patients at The Arlington Cancer Center.
The day I met May Ann and Joyce was on the birthday of one of the radiology department staff member's. I was sitting (waiting) in the radiology department when through the door came Mary Ann and Joyce. Mary Ann's wheelchair was certainly lighter on its wheels that day, because there were many, many Red, White and Blue helium filled balloons attached to it. Red, White and Blue happy balloons, flying above her head.
Mary Ann also had a birthday cake in her lap, and in typical Mary Ann character, she was laughing and directing and commenting about well whatever she wanted to comment on. And that's how I met her. At a surprise birthday party, that she threw for a radiologist, between radiation treatments, at the Cancer Center. We became friends right then right there.
I feel that I was blessed to have met her, and even though I didn't get to have her in my life for very long, I loved, and will always remember, this very special lady. I feel that I was extremely lucky to meet and get to know Mary Ann and her family.
Today, thinking of you Ms. Mary Ann Tyson - thinking of you.
