Kathleen Maureen (Goodman) Weston was born August 10, 1933 in Los Angeles, California, to James and Mary Goodman. Kathy passed away of natural causes on February 6, 2021 in Stanwood, Washington.
Kathy grew up in Glendale, California and graduated from Hoover High School. She met Ken Weston in November of 1955 at a Youth for Christ event. Ken and Kathy were engaged on February 14, 1956 and were married September 14 of the same year. Ken went into the ministry and Kathy managed the household and cared for their two girls, Debbie and Sheryl. The family moved from California to Everett, Washington in 1970 so Ken could take the position of Assistant Pastor at First Baptist Church of Everett. In 1979 Ken and Kathy moved to Burlingame, California, and returned to Everett in 1984. Kathy had a love for antiques which led her to work at the Star Center Antique Mall for 15 years.
Kathy was a loving mother, impeccable hostess and faithful servant of God. We will miss her sweet smile, her kindness, and the unwavering love and support she gave each one of us. We are all better people for having her in our lives, and will hold her forever in our hearts.
We find comfort in knowing Mom is rejoicing in Heaven with her twin sister Francis, who passed recently, her brothers Alex and Jim, her parents, many family members and dear friends.
Kathy leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Ken, daughters Debbie Kelley (Larry), Sheryl Heavin (Rick), grandchildren Ryan, Kristen, Mollie (Warren) and Brendan, three great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter and another great-granddaughter on the way.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of Kathy's favorite charities.
