It was such an honor spending Thanksgiving with Marc and the Esterly crew on Whidbey Island a couple of years ago. I remember good conversations with him about the beautiful landscapes that surrounded us and a shared appreciation for good wine and family memories. Praying for all of you during these times and thankful I got to know your husband and father. Blessings

Dear Esterly Family,
I was so sad to hear of the passing of your beloved husband and father. Growing up, I always appreciated his strong, calm presence at your welcoming house in Edmonds. My heart goes out to you all knowing how much he was loved and will be missed.

Dear Marilyn and family,
I have fond memories of meeting Marc in Mukilteo and Whidbey Island when I visited with Becky. Though I did not know him well, his kindness shone through in every interaction, and I know through Becky what a wonderful father he was. My heart goes out to the whole Esterly clan. I wish you peace and healing in the days ahead.

I was so saddened to hear of Marc's unexpected home going. Rebecca and I have become very close in the last 6 months even though several states separate us. 50 years is along time to be married, but when one is deeply loved, it is too short of a time together on earth. Sending a hug from Illinois!

Dear Marilyn and family, I only had the pleasure of meeting you and Marc once, but Rebecca has shared so many sweet memories of her childhood and your family. My heart has been broken for you all, but also encouraged by loving parents who have been such beautiful examples of what it looks like to follow Christ. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived!

I did not have the honor of knowing Marc but I am blessed to be a friend of his beautiful, lovely daughter Rebecca. She talked often about her Dad and told me stories about her wonderful childhood with her Dad and Mom and siblings. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Marilyn, I have memories of many conversations with you during our overlapping hours of shared space at memorial community church, each of us encouraging the other. I pray that your trust in the loving grace of God has grown in the years since we last met. May you continue to be blessed by experiences of His guiding Spirit during these days of watching and waiting times we find ourselves in.

My condolences to Marc's family. Marc and I were in Winnipauk School together from 4th grade - 6th grade. We spent 181 days each year in the same class room during those years before we all moved on to West Rock Jr. High and then on to Norwalk High School. I'm glad that after so many years away from NHS - I was able to see Marc once more at our 2011 reunion. It sounds like he had a wonderful life .and who could ask for more. Hang on to all your wonderful memories and may they one day put a big smile on your faces as you all sit down and share them. God Bless, Carol Ann Harrick Bennett

Marc and I go back to West Rocks and NHS and ironically I was his sister's daughter Kathryn's first grade teacher in Vernon, CT.
Tom and I spent many days together while on vacation at Whidbey Island and Seattle with Marc and Marilyn as well as class reunions and when they visited Judy and Milt in Vernon.
Marc was a kind and caring soul as well as he and Marilyn were wonderful tour guides of their area of the state.
He will be missed by us and we send our deepest regrets to Marilyn and their four children and spouses as well as their 12 grandchildren.

I am very sad to hear of Marc's passing. we went to West Rocks Jr. High and Norwalk High School together and played sports on the same teams. I still live in the West Rocks area of Norwalk and served in the Army while he was in the Service to the country. I will think of him whenever I pass the old Esterly homestead. God's Speed,
Charlie
