Oscar M. Holm

Oscar M. Holm&bb& Oscar M. Holm, age 89, of Marysville, died December 19, 2001 in Arlington, Washington.&pe&He was born July 15, 1912 in Norway to Nels Jule and Gertrude Hunn (Hammer) Holm. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Oscar retired from the U.S. Navy in 1957, he then attended business school. After business school, Oscar was employed by the Red Cross for several years. Oscar was a lifetime member of the Fleet Reserve and the VFOW.&pe&He is survived by his wife Josephine; daughters Marilyn Boggust of Del Mar, CA and Susan Stark of Moxee, WA; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers Gerry and wife Evelyn Holm of Lincoln, MT and wife Ruth Holm of Moses Lake, WA; sisters Gertrude Ann and husband Bruce Thomas of LaConner, WA, Ruth and husband Hal Sawyer of Seattle, and Ann Shepard of Helena, MT.&pe&A memorial service will be held January 5, 2001, 2:00 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.&pe&In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.&pe&Arrangements are under the direction of Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.
