Michael Windham Obituary
Mike was born Sept. 23, 1944, in Houston, Texas. He was educated at Rice University, earning a Ph.D. in mathematics and statistics in 1970. He became a professor in that field at Utah State University for 25 years and moved on to become department head of the Math and Statistics Department at the University of South Alabama until his retirement in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol, whom he bravely spent 10 years caring for as she succumbed to frontotemporal dementia until her death in 2009. In 2007 he also began his own personal battle with renal cancer, which was the ultimate cause of his passing.
He is remembered lovingly by his sons, David and Jonathan of Austin, Texas; sister, Marivonne (Monte) of Houston, Texas; and cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws around the country.
A memorial service for Mike and Carol will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Logan Country Club.

My big sister, Carol, and her new husband, Mike, left Houston, Texas, for Logan, Utah, on the morning of June 12th, 1970. They loved Logan. They embraced Logan. They made many, many dear friends, there. It was always a joy and a treat to visit them in Logan. I miss them. Love, Marilyn Chea (Thompson) Berger. San Jose, California.

We loved Mike and Carol, and they were both missed when they left Logan. Chris admired Mike as a math colleague and had a lot of fun with him over those 25 years. What a blessing to have known the Windhams

I'm sorry about Mike's passing! Mike,Carol, David and Jonathan were really good friends that lived next door.
