I am saddened to read of the death of this wonderful lady. Doris and I met several years ago through our volunteer work and my work related contacts at Friendship House. We lost contact when she moved from her condo in Plymouth. I have special memories of many times dining out with her and discussing politics, her trips on American Cruise lines and life in general. She was truly one of the wisest, kindest and most giving ladies I have ever had the honor of knowing. And she had a wonderful sense if humor!
She will be dearly missed.

I'm sadden to have read of Doris passing. I never met this loving person but came very fond of her accomplishments in life and strength. She would have me arrange many memorable cruises with American Cruise Lines and always called me to share her experiences. I felt like I was her family and she always had a smile when talking about them.
I know she is resting and probably talking about one of her cruises.
She will be missed

Doris Fell was my roommate at Gordon College.
We both became ABC home missionaries in Boston.
We stayed in contact when she moved to Ohio and then to Michigan and to retirement in Novi.
I lost contact with her after she moved from the retirement home to Troy. She was like one of my family. I mourn her loss and I am glad I had the opportunity to read her obituary. I now know where she is.

You have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. Your victory is in Jesus! I miss you dearly, my friend. But I know we will meet again in eternity. All is well with my soul. Doris and I met in 2006. We'd go to lunch (one of her favorite places was E.G. Nicks in Plymouth), share our faith and simply enjoyed each other's company and our friendship. Rest in peace, my friend. ~ Pam
