ETHEL DUMBAULD Obituary

ETHEL C. DUMBAULD, 95, passed away August 2, 2010. Born March 18, 1915 in Pittsburgh, PA. Ethel moved to Houston, TX with her husband, George in 1947. She was very involved in her church and devoted her life in service to others. She was active in many organizations including the Pilot Club, Emergency Aid Coalition, Houston, Council on Human Relations, serving as the Council's first executive secretary, Christian Community Service Center (CCSC), S.E.A.R.C.H., Interfaith Ministries and Church Women United. These were just a few. Ethel lived what she believed with courage and was always willing to serve others. She is survived by her three children, Wanda Regalado, Connie Cochran and Lanny Dumbauld, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and her twin sister, Alice Hufnagel. She leaves behind a legacy of service and faith to her family, community and church.A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 2pm at First Christian Church, Houston 1601 Sunset Blvd 77005. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Food Pantry at the Emergency Aid Coalition, 5401 Fannin, 77004 and First Christian Church, 1601 Sunset Blvd. 77005.Our loved one will always be in our hearts.
