Every year, when the sports community begins the cacophony about the "big game", our family reflects upon the events of seven years ago. We speak of Jeffrey with love and respect.
We do not question God's will or his plan for our lives.
We celebrate what we have, and we are thankful for the wonderful ones we had, even if for only a brief time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Walker family, and will continue. May God bless you.

Paul:
I just learned of Jeff's passing via Parker friends and want to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Last summer I had the opportunity to meet Jeff at an Indian's game in the Parker suite. We spoke for a few minutes and talked about you and Louisiana Tech. I assumed all along he was a Longhorn like yourself, but he was quick to tell me in a friendly way he attended and played baseball at La Tech. What a nice young man - courteous, respectful and friendly. My twelve year old son who was with me even commented about Jeff's friendliness.
May God Bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Paul/Marianne, I was deeply saddened when I heard of the death of Jeffrey. Having had the privilege of knowing Jeffrey at a young age his leadership qualities were evident even then. It is no surprise that he acted heroically to protect another. Jesus said that there is no greater love than to give one's life for a friend. He paid the ultimate sacrifice, but he will be rewarded w/his place in heaven. May God hold all of you in his arms and comfort you during this terrible time. But receive your consolation by knowing that you will all be reunited in heaven when the time is right. You, Jeffrey and your family are in our prayers.

Paul and Marianne-
I was talking to a friend of mine about Jeff. While Brandon and the boys were misbehaving, Jeff always seemed to be the more logical of the bunch. It is a shock that he would be the first to leave us.My friend replied "Even God loves beautiful flowers. From time to time he plucks the fairest rose to add to his bouquet of plain flowers". So having said this, there is some comfort in knowing that Jeff's beauty resides at God's table.
Jim and I are deeply sadden at this lost to all of us. You are in our prayers-
