I really enjoyed talking with Richard on all the bird walks and birding trips he and Barbara came on. I loved how he always offered to help carry my spotting scope for me so that I could focus on helping people find the bird and identify it! What a kind, generous and insightful man with a good sense of humor!

I just found out about Dick’s passing a few days ago. He was such a wonderful person! I loved working with him at Rice. Steve and I think about him every time Steve bakes cookies. He loved Steve’s cookies! We send our love and prayers to Barbara. ❤
