I have great memories of my Cousin Edsel from my early childhood to his passing. I still miss him to this day!

Edsel was a kind, gentle, intelligent and good man, and for these, he will be rewarded. As an artist, he was simply great. I mostly knew him as a golfer, and as such, he played with honor and by the rules. He was talented and competitive. I trust that Heaven has golf courses.

Cousin Edsel your artwork speaks for it self. It was though you that we understood that artistic talents are a gift. For it was through having you as a roll model that we were able to recognize and support our daughter's artistic ability. We know that you are still painting and hope to see the rest of your work some day.

I remember when I first met this uniquely gifted man named Edsel Cramer at the "Old Hermann Park Golf Course"...and from the beginning of our first conversation until now, hearing the news of his passing; I remain in awe of his wisdom and insight into the various issues of life. Being around Edsel is something that I always found enlightening and though we had not seen each other recently, I know that if I could see him now he would flash me that "Winning Smile"! To his family and friends we have loss a good man and he will be dearly missed by all who really got to know him! I am truly glad that our paths crossed before his life's journey ended...thanks Mr. Edsel for allowing me to be a friend!

To say that you were a brilliant artist only speaks to a part of who you were. You gave so much to our family. To one, a perceptive listener and confidant, to another an accepting peer and golf buddy, to another a beloved teacher and friend, and to yet another an inspiring role model. Your art speaks to the many lives you have touched, and will continue to touch, throughout time, as your gifted work is lovingly passed down from generation to generation. We love you, Edsel.

Edsel, you had to be one of the best to sit with and share stories. We will all miss your brilliance in perception on canvas and how you also translated that to the love of playing golf. Though moving away from Texas ended the running into you in Houston, I will take your wisdom and the wonderful thoughts of you with me always
