Terry Robbins, 89, born on December 11, 1922 to Paul Terry, Sr. and Susan Pittman Terry passed away October 3, 2012. She was the valedictorian of her 1940 Fairfield High School graduating class. She loved to read and distinguished herself academically all through her school years. She attended the University of Houston.
She and Donald R. Robbins were married December 29, 1944 in Houston, Texas. In 2006, she was predeceased by her only child and pride of her life, Dr. Terry C. Robbins a Rice University graduate and well respected nephrologist in Lufkin, Texas. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Robbins of Lufkin, Texas, and by five grandchildren: Thomas Marshall Robbins and wife Maurine of Connecticut; Erin Elizabeth and husband Hans Hubbard of Houston; Aaron Marcus Robbins and wife Shelly of Denton; Jennifer Catherine-Anne Robbins of Dallas; and Terry Scott Robbins of Lufkin. She is survived by four great-grandchildren: Keith Thomas Robbins, Aliah Marie Robbins, Eliana Grace Robbins, and Luke Jackson Hubbard. She is also survived by her oldest sister, Margaret Terry Sledge Haverfield and one sister-in-law Frances Kessler Terry; nieces Jill Price Wagner and husband Dennis; Kathryn Terry Smith and husband Kevin; nephews Roland E. Sledge Jr. and wife Elizabeth; Clovis P. Price and wife Melissa; and Mark D. Terry; and first cousins Wayne Pittman and Lloyd Pittman.
Louise retired from the Research Division of Shell Oil after 27 years where she was the executive secretary to a number of outstanding scientists. She was a long-time member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and spent her latter years in the Bayou Manor Nursing in Houston. Visitation will be at Forest Park Lawndale, Sunday October 7th, from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be Monday, October 8th, 11:00 am at St. Mark's Episcopal Church 3816 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, Texas 77025.
