I wish to add my sincere condolences for the departure of Walter Workman during March of this year. It was my privilege to become well acquainted with Walter, along with other attorneys of Marathon Oil Company, during his representation of Marathon during the South Pass 89 litigation several years ago. I am pleased to send a memorial gift to the Peterson Hospice in Kerrville, Texas.

I worked with Walter during my time with Marathon. He was a joyful person who brightened all of those around him.

Walter was my mentor, golfing buddy, friend, comedian, lunch companion, teacher, personal support group, skiing instructor, and the finest jury trial lawyer I ever saw. It would take a month to write all the lessons he taught me that have stuck with me all these years. And another month to write all the politically incorrect stories. I hope to see many of our mutual friends at the celebration of life in Houston.

We have lost a wise, witty and wonderfully warm friend. I will miss him, but I take solace in thinking of the laughter that Walter carried beyond the Pearly Gates. How they must be enjoying him!
