Dear Family of Dr. Lord, today my world is still and my head is bowed with you as we pay homage to our Patriarch. I am being inclusive because Dr. Lord hired me in 1988 to be his student worker at his Cullen office. I am Dr. Kendra Outler, C/O of 1989 from HSHP. His decision to hire me changed the trajectory of my life. The day I could run into the office and tell him I was accepted to medical school was like telling my own biological Dad. He will forever be Daddy Lord. We saw each other at the NMA in New Orleans. My picture with him is priceless. He was a community leader, businessman, mentor, and teacher. May Houston forever remember a jewel in the city.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Lord family. May God keep you during this time of sorrow.Would like to share this fond memory of your loved one. During his practice with Doctors Hollins, Lord and White OB/GYN group, I'd seen Dr.White during my entire prenatal care. When I was in labor, I kept crying out "Oh Lord, help me"! (referring to the Heavenly Father). The nurses kept on laughing and saying, he's on his way. Unbeknownst to me, Dr. Lord was on call that day 42 years ago. When he got there, he said, "I heard you been asking for me". I think about that day and still laugh.May the God of comfort give you peace during this time.Valerie Parker, RN Missouri City, Tx

I became a patient of Dr. Lord in 1969 and remained a patient until he retired. He seemed like my guardian angel for many years for me. He was always there for me with the many problems I had and he delivered my two children after trying to have children after fourteen years of marriage. He also was the doctor that found my cancer and I am so thankful to God for having him as my doctor and friend.Thank you for sharing him with us as his patients. May God continue to comfort and bless you and his love ones at this time.

A fond memory of Dr. Lord. During children's church the lesson centered on Adam and Eve in the Garden. Later, I ran into him in the parking lot and said for me that Genesis story has more to do with the birds and the bees as oppose to fallen man/woman. Dr. Lord chuckled and said everything has to do with the birds and the bees. From that time forward whenever we saw one another we would laugh. May his soul rest in eternal peace with the Father who sits high and looks low. My condolences to the family.
Psalm 1
1 Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers;
2 but their delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law they meditate day and night.
3 They are like trees
planted by streams of water,
which yield their fruit in its season,
and their leaves do not wither.
In all that they do, they prosper.
