Ted Haag Obituary

Ted Haag

Crivitz - Ted R. Haag passed away from lung cancer, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the home he designed and built in Crivitz. He was born May 12, 1944 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to Roy and Hildred (Laduron) Haag. He attended Lincoln High School Manitowoc, University of Illinois, and University of Wisconsin Madison. He married Susan Hill in 1967. They divorced. He later married Roxana Huebscher in 1997 in Cedarburg. He was an awesome engineer and architect and excelled in detail. Ted's favorite saying was "A turtle goes nowhere until it sticks its neck out." He lived by this, and in 1977 started Haag Design Associates. He provided clients with efficient, practical and personalized design services, and made the process as fun as possible. Over the course of 44 years, Ted enriched the lives of many through design services and mentoring. The firm is now known as Haag Muller, Inc., located in Port Washington - a place Ted enjoyed spending time with clients and staff, often on Lake Michigan fishing charters and afterwards, grilling the catch at the office. Haag Muller, Inc continues as Ted's legacy. Ted was an avid fisherman and hunter and was actively involved in the Klondike Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed fishing voyages to Mexico, Canada, Minnesota, and the flowages. He had a passion for life, always creating, always moving (except for his afternoon nap). He will be missed.

Ted is survived by his wife, Roxie; son, Spencer Haag, Milwaukee; brother, Jack (Gail) Haag, Sturgeon Bay; sister, Holly Haag, Illinois; sister-in-law, Bonnie Vincent, Green Bay; brother-in-law, Lee (Carole) Huebscher, Abrams; sisters-in-law, Mari Haag and Terri Haag; nieces and nephews and beloved cat Sparky. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by half-brothers, Doug and Roger, brother-in-law, Phil Vincent; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Dawn Huebscher and ex-wife, Susan Pagel

Due to the current Covid outbreak, a memorial service will be held in summer 2021. Memorials can be made to Unity Hospice or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.

A special thank you to neighbors (Keith and Ruth, Jim and Kathy), many friends (especially Jan and quilt buddies), relatives (Bonnie and Lee and their families, and Jack and Gail), also The Bellin Cancer Team, and Unity Hospice.
