William “Bill” Hernandez, age 83 of Waukesha, WI, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026.
Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on February 26, 1942, Bill was the beloved son of Leonard and Mary (Gonzales) Hernandez. He attended Waukesha South High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army, earning distinction as a Vietnam War Veteran. Following his military service, Bill built a long and dedicated career with Molson Coors, retiring in 1997.
In 1994, Bill married the love of his life, Mary C. Hernandez, and together they built a life filled with joy, creativity, and companionship. He cherished their years in Crivitz, Wisconsin, where they made a home on their acre farm. He loved gardening and was happy walking the shorelines in Marinette, looking for pieces of driftwood for Mary’s artwork used for her yearly craft shows. He loved baseball, gardening, and antiquing. His home in Crivitz was a showcase for these crafts, antiques, and the beautiful yard that neighbors envied and admired. In his spare time, he loved riding his motorcycle, even making it to Sturgis, and never tired of watching old western movies.
Bill is survived by his siblings, Michael (Karen) Hernandez, Dolores (Deedee) Trevino, Ronald Hernandez, Leon (Maria) Hernandez, Ralph (Debbie) Hernandez, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary C. Hernandez, his brother Marty Hernandez, and his sisters Maryann Denniston and Connie Gutierrez.
