She was born in Waukesha at Waukesha Municipal Hospital (Waukesha Memorial) to parents Ralph and Ruth (nee Cull) Wheeler on December 28, 1929.

Joyce was an active member at St. Theresa Catholic Church. She spent many years volunteering in different ministries through church and the Clothes Closet in Waukesha. She enjoyed trips to the library and her love of reading, baking, gardening, knitting and crocheting, taking long walks with their dog, feeding and watching the birds, and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her three siblings James, Delores, and Thomas Wheeler, as well as her parents.
A special thank you to Dimensions Living Oconomowoc and St. Croix Hospice for their love and care in Mom’s last chapter.
