Steven Hunt Obituary

June 20, 1959 – Jan 29, 2017 Mr. Steven Gregory Hunt, age 57 of Huntsville, passed away Sunday after a tree cutting accident. A native of Crestview Florida, he lived in California and New Mexico before moving back to Huntsville with his family. Steven graduated from Lee High School and Drake State Technical College. Steven was a kind, generous person who loved animals, especially his treasured Bella. A devoted son, brother, and uncle, he loved his family beyond measure. We will miss him and his special wit terribly. He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Wilma Hunt; two brothers, Mark Hunt, and his wife Cindy, and Gary Hunt, and his wife Carol; nephew, Harley Hunt; and three nieces, Jennifer Harp, Emily Hunt, and Laura Hunt. Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 until 6:00pm. A memorial service will follow at 6:00pm in Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Noren-Hentz officiating. Graveside service will be Thursday at 10:00am at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Ark of Huntsville or your favorite charity.

We had just heard of Steve's passing yesterday and we are absolutely devastated. He was a great neighbor, he always wanted to help us whenever we needed it. He was wonderful to our boys as they were growing up and had a lot of knowledge to pass on. He was a great conversationalist, my husband and I would always find ourselves outside talking for over an hour when we would see him, he talked highly of his family and values and our conversations never ended without him offering to help us with something. It was obvious he loved and respected his family and absolutely adored that precious dog Bella. You are going to be sorely missed here, but we are glad that we had at least a great 16+ years of you being our "Wilson" talking over the back fence for the times when we were not in the front yard at the normal meeting place. This is a very sad time and our hearts go out to his family, there is nothing that we can say or do to take away the sorrow but thank you for raising him to be the man that he was.
