Clovice McCLung Obituary
Clovice McClung
Clovice Fowler McClung, 90, of Huntsville passed away Tuesday.
Mrs. McClung was a member of First Baptist Church since 1954 and was an active member of the WMU. She and her husband worked with the Married Young People in Sunday school for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.R. McClung.
Survivors include her sons, John Ross McClung and wife Claudia of Maidens, Va., Ronald David McClung and wife Susan of Huntsville and William Norris McClung and wife Mary of Huntsville; brother-in-law, Coy McClung of Minden, La.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Sanctuary. The funeral service will immediately follow with Dr. David Hull officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Laughlin Service Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Family Care, 3304 Westmill Drive, Huntsville, AL 35805 or First Baptist Church Missions Foundation.

Mother told me that your mom had passed and we talked about how much your mom and dad meant to her and my dad. Our family is remembering you all as you in this time of life.

Ross and Claudia, Ron and Susan, Bill and Mary: Your parents brought a great deal of happiness and love into my life from many years ago. When I first came to Huntsville your parents visited me the same Sunday afternoon of my first visit at FBC and shared all things possible about First Baptist Church. I joined FBC a couple of Sundays later and Mr. D.R. was my deacon for years and years. I was fortunate to have Mr. D.R. and Mrs. Clovis as my neighbors for a while before their health gave way and they had to move. I still miss seeing two people I considered my dear friends. Ron and Susan you have both been such a powerful influance in my life because of the years we all have gone to church together. I pray for peace and comfort for all of you as you prepare to say good bye tomorrow. Please know all of you are in my prayers and will continue to be during the coming days. Two lovely people who loved many will always be remembered by those of us fortunate enough to have been touched by Mr. D.R. and Mrs. Clovice. Love, Linda Nowlin
