Harold Woods Obituary

Harold W. Woods, 84, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at a local care facility. At his request no services will be held. Cremation was under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Harold was born in Penelope, Texas, on Dec. 2, 1922, the second of five children and the loving father of two sons. He grew up in Delta, Utah, and after college graduation he resided in California, Oregon and made his final residence in Idaho.
He joined the U.S. Air Force following high school graduation and served in the South Pacific when the war was declared, until the end of World War II.
After his marriage to Bernice Campbell, they joined the Peace Corps and were stationed in Sivas, Turkey in an orphanage, where they adopted two small brothers who they named Frank and Brice after grandfathers.
Harold received his sociology degree and spent his working years as a social worker in California until he retired.
He is survived by his two sons, Frank of Sacramento and Brice in Antioch, CA; a brother, Jeff in Fayetteville, AR; sisters, Mildred Byers in Caldwell, Helen of Albany, OR and Ruth of Paradise, CA.
