Brigitte Rabe Obituary

Brigitte Erica Rabe
September 3, 1946 - June 25, 2013
Brigitte Erika Rabe returned to her beloved Lord unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday June 25 2013.
Brigitte was born in Leizip, East Germany on September 3, 1946. Brigitte was very young when her family emigrated from East Germany. They were sponsored by a family from Emmett, Idaho. Brigitte took great pride in becoming a Naturalized Citizen of the United States of America, January 15, 1963 at the age of 16.
At the age of 17, Brigitte took a bus to Pocatello, Idaho to attend a cooking school. Brigitte always insisted it was a cooking school not a culinary school. Henry and Dottie Knoblick were the first of many who adopted Brigitte into their family.
Brigitte loved her job at AMI where she worked for 30 years before retiring in 2004. Brigitte had many friends at AMI. They all looked forward to her always saying hello, but she would never stop to talk because that would be cheating the company. However, occasionally she would give her quick side hug before taking care of her next task. After her retirement she would occasionally ride the bus up to the AMI facility and sit on the bench for a few hours just to say hello to all her friends. Brigitte never forgot a name, date or a kind gesture. She saw the good side in everything and always delighted in the small things in life. She had a very pure soul.
Her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was her first priority in life. She has been a member of the Grace Lutheran church for many years and found great comfort with her church family. Her guardian angel always surrounded her with people that loved her and appreciated how special she was. We have all been blessed by her example and our relationship with Brigitte.
A memorial service to celebrate her life is scheduled for Saturday the 13th of July at 5PM. A meal will be served after the service at Grace Lutheran Church.

Brigitte was such an example for all of us. She never said an unkind word to or about anyone. She saw the best in people and delighted at her many friends.

Brigitte was a sweet woman that would bring smiles to everyone she came across. She was an angel here on earth and will always smile down upon her friends. Thank you for the memories you have given me.
