I have had the honor to be his friend since and he always had a way to make you feel special. When I think of Scott, the first words that come to mind are "class act". I consider myself priviledged to have know him and coached against him many times through summer basketball and at the state tournaments. It was with a heavy heart that I heard the news about his passing. Scott fought an arduous, incredible battle with cancer and truly was an inspiration to all those around him. I know I can speak for all of us coaches on the "west side" of the state when I say he is greatly missed. Bless you Scott for being such a positive influence on so many lives.

Joni, girls and Carole Gunter,
My heart is sad and hurting for you today. It's been a long time since I've seen any of you, but you are etched in my heart forever. I see your smiling faces when I think about the fun times we use to have in the Chubbuck Ward. I didn't know Scott very well, but I remember his smile, and how much he loved his girls. I am truly sorry for your loss.
Much love,

What an amazing man, coach and person. Over the years I have been amazed by his sincere ability to work with young people. I learned alot just watching him interract with his players and coaches. This is where I knew him from and where my memories of him will continue to teach me. It wont be the same without him this year.

Scott was one of the nicest coaches I ever met. Other than one State Tournament I did not get a chance to broadcast many of his games. However I enjoyed talking with him about the girls program and doing the occasional interview. I will miss him and so will the girls basketball program as well as the students at Highland High School. My prayers go with the family.
