Boise, Idaho - Mary was born September 29, 1933 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. She was the daughter of Nelson and Alice Brown.
Mary graduated from Hot Springs County High School in 1951. She was involved and enjoyed many activities and was a member of several organizations. She then attended Carroll College in Helena Montana where she graduated as a registered nurse in 1954. She met and married Tom Bruck in 1955 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. They had a long and loving marriage for 65 years.
Mary worked as a nurse for several years while also starting a family in Chicago, Illinois while Tom attended dental school at Northwestern University. After Tom graduated with his dental degree the family moved several times to Montana, Rangley, Colorado, Ann Arbor Michigan, Denver Colorado, and finally settled in Boise Idaho in 1973.
After raising her 5 children Mary went back to nursing and worked for 25 years at the Elks Rehabilitation Center. Mary enjoyed retirement and played golf, bridge. She and Tom had wonderful vegetable gardens and fruit trees. Mary loved to travel and did several trips to Europe. She was a long time member of Saint Marks Catholic Church.
Mary is proceeded in life by her Parents Nelson and Alice, her sister Reva, brother Jim, and son Bob.
Mary is survived by her husband Tom and 4 children Kathy (Tom), Connie (Mick), Laurie, Gary (Melissa), and 7 grandchildren, Tom (Marin), Nicole (Grant), Alex, Ryan, Jenna, Kristin, Eric.
A service and celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials can be made to the Idaho Commission of the Blind or Saint Marks Catholic Church.
