On this sad anniversary I again think back on Ken with a genuine fondness and appreciation for the kindness and inspiration he brought to me. May God bless his soul and comfort all those who miss him as I do.

I am so sad that I was unaware of Ken's passing and somewhat ashamed that over a year later I am just now becoming aware of this sadness.

Ken was a mentor to me, a former "boss" and a dear friend from my days so long ago as an art director in Indianapolis. Though I had lost touch with him some years ago after my move to California we had revived some contact online until about 3 years ago. I was just today looking him up in hope of reviving our contact only to find that he has passed.

Ken was a wonderful man, loving husband and a talented artist and designer who taught me much about design, the advertising industry and life itself. May God bless that man and I hope he is enjoying his reunion with his beloved Birdie in Heaven!

My sincere condolences to Ken's family. He was such an inspiration, he was so kind, and he was always willing talk art with a newbie like me. I will never forget how welcoming he was to me when I was first juried into the HCAA. Over the years, he became a dear friend to me, although I suspect it wouldn't have even occurred to him how much he meant to me, he was so humble. I will treasure forever the memory of every single
conversation I ever had with him at the HCAA's Birdie Gallery. I will miss those talks, I will miss Ken.
