On this sad anniversary I again think back on Ken with a genuine fondness and appreciation for the kindness and inspiration he brought to me. May God bless his soul and comfort all those who miss him as I do.

I am so sad that I was unaware of Ken's passing and somewhat ashamed that over a year later I am just now becoming aware of this sadness.

Ken was a mentor to me, a former "boss" and a dear friend from my days so long ago as an art director in Indianapolis. Though I had lost touch with him some years ago after my move to California we had revived some contact online until about 3 years ago. My sincere condolences to Ken's family. He was such an inspiration, he was so kind, and he was always willing talk art with a newbie like me. I will never forget how welcoming he was to me when I was first juried into the HCAA. Over the years, he became a dear friend to me, although I suspect it wouldn't have even occurred to him how much he meant to me, he was so humble. I will treasure forever the memory of every single
